Elaine MasonAccommodation, Risk & Facilities Manager
Elaine has a wealth of experience in the hotel and education sectors, including life as housemistress at a boarding school for girls. She has also worked for hotel groups across the UK.
Student welfare was a major part of her working life in boarding schools and it’s something she takes very seriously in her role as accommodation manager for both Riverside House and Friargate Court.
Elaine, from Lytham, is also committed to delivering Portergate’s high standards of quality and service levels in everything she does.
Outside work her hobbies and interests include quilting, sewing and crosswords.
Making our residents feel at home is an important part of David’s role as concierge here at Friargate Court.
And he brings a whole range of experiences to the job. His previous careers include civil servant, prison officer and commercial photographer.
Using the people skills he has amassed in those roles, he is fully focused on ensuring Friargate Court’s residents enjoy their stay.
His eagerness to help and his courteous approach to his job are essential to Portergate’s professional approach. David is a Prestonian and lives in the city.
Jessica joins the Friargate team as a Receptionist and brings with her a wealth of experience, not just in her career role but having lived all over the world – which will be very handy in making the International and British students feel settled when living away from home.
Jessica is originally from Edinburgh but has a slight Aussie twang from having lived in Melbourne and Sydney since 2014. Before that, she was in Thailand and Malaysia! She has decided after a few years being here, there and everywhere, it is time her for to come back to the UK.
Jessica will be greeting the residents, answering calls and enquiries, completing general front office management and co-ordinating projects.
