Portergate Property Management has spent a busy summer successfully marketing its luxury Riverside House student accommodation in Salford.
The stylish £18 million building on the banks of the River Irwell has been a big success since opening its doors to students last year.
And the Portergate team has been building on that success with a major summer marketing campaign aimed at attracting students from across the globe as they look to start their academic careers in Salford and Manchester at the start of the 2014/15 term.
The campaign included a series of open weekends throughout August which gave students and their parents the opportunity to see what Riverside House is about and all it offers to its tenants.
The open events took place every weekend throughout the month and details were published on both the Portergate and Riverside House websites.
As well as that initiative 4,000 leaflets have been distributed in popular student venues across Manchester and Salford – again raising awareness of Riverside House and its quality boutique feel.
Portergate also launched a mailshot through UCAS – the organisation responsible for managing applications to higher education courses in the UK.
And, as it looks to build on the success of its links with overseas students, the Portergate marketing team has also been contacting foreign embassies to raise the Riverside House profile even higher.
Closer to home, a large banner on the landmark Hemsley House building, near Salford University’s campus, also puts the Riverside House name in front of the thousands of students and commuters that pass by every day.
It all added up to a busy summer of activity for Portergate as it builds the Portergate brand in Manchester and Salford.
Karen Preece, managing director of Portergate Property Management, says: “We put together a major marketing campaign which ran throughout the summer highlighting the major advantages Riverside House delivers to its tenants.
“Our aim has been to get our message out to students and parents as they looked to make the important decisions about their university careers. It has been a well thought out and carefully targeted strategy and it is already delivering results.
“A key plank of that strategy was our open days – a chance for people to get a real look at Riverside House; the vibe, the quality and the security that make it such a fantastic place for students to live. It is a compelling offer.”
She added: “Coupled with that, our message highlights the high standard of service that we bring to the student accommodation sector in Manchester and Salford.”
