Rising interest in high quality student accommodation
A new report by property expert Knight Frank highlights the growing demand for the deluxe offering created by Salford student accommodation provider Portergate.
Its new Riverside House student accommodation, within walking distance of the University of Salford, has already attracted undergraduates from across the globe looking for the kind of boutique hotel facilities it has created.
And with the university’s January intake fast approaching there is even more interest in the modern, secure facilities provided at the purpose-built development which offers 242 high-quality, en-suite bedrooms.
The Knight Frank report reveals that there will be a growing need for the kind of accommodation that Portergate provides at Salford, and at its other planned projects across the North of England.
Knight Frank is projecting that domestic and overseas student acceptances will increase over the next five years.
In its report it says: “We anticipate that the rise in September 2014 will be in excess of 3%.”
The report focuses on the market for “purpose-built student accommodation” and expects demand to be underpinned by the rising global popularity of Britain as a place to study.
It is a trend already seen by Portergate, whose accommodation has been designed to the standards modern students – and their parents – now demand.
And it is why it has seen growing interest from overseas students since opening in time for the current university term.
That interest continues to increase as students looking to start courses at Salford in the new year come to appreciate what Portergate can offer them.
